Nepra approves Rs5.13 per unit tariff reduction for KE consumers

The residents of Karachi will soon get relief in electricity prices as the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has notified a decrease of Rs5.13 per unit in the price of power for the consumers of K-Electric, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a notification issued on Friday, the decrease in the power price is under the head fuel charges adjustment (FCA) of September 2022.
It said that the negative FCA of Rs5.13 kilowatt per hour (Kwh) for the month of September shall be applicable to all consumers categories except lifeline consumers, domestic consumers consuming up to 300 units, agricultural consumers and electric vehicle charging station (EVCS) consumers of K-Electric.
“K-Electric shall reflect the fuel charges adjustment in respect of Sept 2022, in the billing month of November,” said NEPRA notification.
