Punjab govt approves new cricket stadium in Lahore

The Punjab government on Friday approved the new cricket stadium at a cost of more than Rs510 million in Samanabad.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the new stadium will be constructed at 49.5 Kanal piece of land at Ghazali Road in Samanabad.
The stadium will have modern three pavilions including a VIP Pavilion, a Public Pavilion, and a Players Pavilion with a total capacity of 500 spectators.
The parking area for 50 vehicles and 100 motorcycles will be allocated while an administrative area, cafeteria, and public toilets will also be constructed on the stadium premises.
The idea of establishing a new cricket stadium was presented by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Engineering Wing-II in the Planning and Development (P&D) department.
The Punjab government approved this scheme on priority bases for the reason of existing in the constituency of the Provincial Housing Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
