Balochistan has begun three days of mourning in honour of the victims of the devastating suicide blast that occurred at Quetta Railway Station on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Monday.

According to the report, the national flag of Pakistan will be flown at half-mast across all government buildings in Balochistan from November 11 to 13, as per the provincial government's announcement.

The attack took place on Saturday morning when a suicide bomber, reportedly from the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), detonated an explosive among passengers gathered to board the Jaffar Express.

The tragedy claimed the lives of at least 27 people, including military personnel, and left around 40 others injured.

The blast caused panic and chaos at the crowded platform, where families, including women and children, had assembled.

Emergency response teams rushed to the scene to transport the injured to civil and CMH hospitals, where emergency protocols were activated.

Witnesses described the scene as horrific, with debris and blood scattered across the platform.

Pools of blood, torn backpacks, and damaged metal sheets painted a tragic picture at the railway station, which has since been heavily guarded.

Balochistan, a province bordering Afghanistan and Iran, frequently faces militant attacks.

Yesterday, the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) shared the picture as well as the profile of Muhammad Rafiq Bezanjo, the terrorist who had exploded himself at Quetta Railway Station on Saturday, on social media.

As per the channel report, the forensic examination of the suicide bomber’s picture has shown that he is armed with USA-manufactured weapons from head to toe.

Bezanjo was carrying a made-in-the-USA M4 rifle, which can only be purchased from Afghanistan by paying dollars. And more surprisingly, the uniform he is wearing is also that of a US Marine. Similarly, the cap and the ammunition magazine jacket he is wearing both are US-made.
