Lyari girls wake Karachiites up through bicycle race for their rights

The Lyari Girls Café (LGC) Monday organized a bicycle race to squeeze the Karachiites for giving the girls equal rights and opportunities to boys in the society.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the LGC is a non-governmental organization and held the cycle race of girls from Boat Basin to Benazir Park.
A special tableau on atrocities against women in society was also presented on the occasion. A good number of girls participated in the race.
National cyclist and one of the organizers of the race Asma Jan talking to the media said sports played an important role in improving the physical and mental health of a person.
She said the participation of girls in sports competitions was a very useful step for society.
Bicycle Racing Coach Habiba Dad called on the government to organize such competitions for girls across the country.
Assistant Commissioner Bashir Memon also participated in the event to encourage the girls in sports.
