Punjab students asked to get registered for getting petrol, e-bikes

The registration process to provide electric and petrol bikes to students promised as Eid Gift by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has been set into motion, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

Boy and girl students from all over the province can get themselves registered for the 20,000 Eid Gifts.

In the first phase, 19,000 petrol bikes and 1,000 e-bikes will be distributed among the students.

The Punjab government will provide Rs1 billion subsidy to interest-free bikes.

The government will also take care of the Rs20,000 down payment on behalf of the students and the government will also pay the mark-up charged on the monthly installments to be paid by the students.

Boys will deposit Rs11,676 as monthly installment while girls will pay Rs7,325 easy installment.
The first phase will lay its focus on cities of Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur and Rawalpindi.

The bikes will be given as per the population percentage of every district.

The last date to submit the applications for the bikes is April 29, 2024.

To get a bike, it is mandatory to be a student of a government or a private university or a college graudate.

The student must be over 18 years old, has a driving licence or learner permit to get the bike on easy installments.

The students can apply by April 29 on bikes.punjab.gov.pk
