Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said on Thursday his party would not set any conditions for talks with the government.
Talking to reporters, Barrister Gohar said that only condition would be deciding the agenda of talks beforehand.
When asked to comment on Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif’s contradictory remarks, Barrister Gohar said such things do happen in politics, but one should not budge on their cause.
In a related development, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Sherry Rehman said the PTI was not in a position anymore to benefit from the influence of people like under-trial former spy chief Faiz Hameed. She said that there shouldn’t be any preconditions for talks between the PTI and the government. Speaking in the Senate, she said a party was specifically instructed not to sign the condemnation resolution against Israel.
