A security delegation from New Zealand arrived in Karachi to assess preparations for the upcoming Champions Trophy, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

The delegation was warmly received by Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Director of International Cricket, Usman Wahla, and General Manager, Arshad Khan.

The visiting delegation toured the National Stadium Karachi, inspecting the newly constructed building designed for the Champions Trophy.

Key members of the delegation included New Zealand Players’ Association representative Brad Rogan and security consultant Reg Dickason.

Earlier, the delegation had also visited Rawalpindi and Lahore as part of their assessment. Pakistan is set to play a tri-nation series with South Africa and New Zealand ahead of the Champions Trophy.
