Police in Lahore trampled upon a family’s privacy when it stormed House No. 225 in Khayaban-e-Amin locality of the city late Saturday night, held children and women hostage, resorted to vandalism and made away with a car, 25 tolas of gold and Rs4 million in cash, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
In a video statement, wife of the owner of the house said that the police did not give any reason for forcing their entry into the house. “We have no dispute with anyone; neither political nor financial,” she added.
She said her husband owned a car showroom at Faisal Town. “The cops entered the house in the absence of my husband by breaking its doors and stayed for an hour,” the woman said.
She went on to say that the police personnel even took her servant with them.
She lamented that Kahna police were not registering an FIR of the incident.
