Federal Minister for Interior Affairs Rana Sanaullah said assemblies are completing their parliamentary terms in August and the general election will be held in November.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Rana Sanaullah addressed a public meeting in his native city Faisalabad on Sunday and said elections will be held on time.
He said after the general election, his party, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will form the government under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif and will serve people in true spirit.
Criticizing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its leadership, Rana Sanaullah said Farah Gogi was involved in a bribe for transfers and postings in Punjab province and ever wants a five-karat ring of diamonds.
He said the PTI chairman and his government did not do any work in four years but spread chaos in the country.
Sanaullah said his party members are leaving him after being imprisoned for two days while the PML-N workers are firmly standing with the party today even after being imprisoned for months.
He said the PTI chief is spreading hatred among the people against the martyrs, adding that who have tortured the families of martyrs and who have damaged the government property will never be spared and must be punished.
He added that Mian Nawaz Sharif endured everything for the honour and glory of this nation.
