Tajikistan beat Pakistan 3-0 when the two sides met in the second round of the FIFA football World Cup qualifiers in Dushanbe on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Tajikistan's first goal in the first half of the match was scored by Shirvani Mohabbat Shahov in the 35th minute of the game. Tajikistan had a one-goal lead at the end of the first half of the game.

The second goal for Tajikistan was scored by Manouchehr Safarov in the 65th minute. Vahdat Hananov scored the third goal in the 70th minute of the match.

Tajikistan held a three-goal lead until the end of the match.

Pakistan qualified for FIFA World Cup Qualifier Round 2 for the first time but lost all six matches in this stage. Group G of Qualifying Round 2 included teams from Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Tajikistan along with Pakistan.

Apart from Saudi Arabia, the other two teams with Pakistan in Group G are Jordan and Tajikistan.

Pakistan’s football team arrived in Tajikistan via a special air force flight on Tuesday afternoon due to flight delays, hours before the match was due to begin. The team’s earlier scheduled flight for Tajikistan was halted “due to technical issues,” the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) said on Monday.
