Covid-19 claims one life in Pakistan

There is a sharp rise in the Covid-19 infections as the deadly virus has claimed one life and its positivity ratio has reached 1.38% during last 24 hours, showed the statistics released by the National Institute of Health (NIH) on Sunday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the NIH data, the death toll in the country rose to 30,645 with one new fatality whereas the number of total infections also shot up to 1,577,559 after adding the fresh 77 cases.
During the last 24 hours, 5,565 tests were conducted throughout Pakistan whereas the positivity ratio soared to 1.38%. The number of patients in critical care stood at 13.

Most of the coronavirus cases were registered in Lahore where 30 Covid patients were reported.
In Rawalpindi, six Covid cases while in Gilgit, 1 case was reported during last 24 hours.
The positivity ratio in Lahore was recorded 2.82%; while in Rawalpindi it was 1.78%.
