Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi said on Sunday that the love for a mother could not be restricted to just one day, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In his message on Mother’s Day, he said that the word ‘mother’ was the sweetest in the world. “There is no substitute for this relation, which is steeped in deep love and affection,” he said, adding, “The peace of mind which one gets while sleeping in his or her mother’s lap has no match.”

Whatever he was today, Naqvi went on to say, was due to his mother’s prayers.

He said he felt the absence of his mother at every moment of his life.

“I salute the greatness of all mothers,” the interior minister said, adding, “I also salute the mothers of martyrs of the Pakistan Army who laid down their lives for the defence of the country.”

He said he prayed from the bottom of his heart for the safety and long life of every mother in the world.
