In an attempt to improve the search engine service, Google has announced that the google assistant will not be answering silly questions.
In a blog post, Google's head of search Pandu Nayak said that the way in which the results are displayed currently is not very helpful.
The problem is that, for example, if a user asks Google Assistant "when did Mickey Mouse murder Abraham Lincoln?" it would happily tell them "1865". The date is right but the murderer, totally not him.
Google has said that users will get fewer to no replies to such questions.
Nayak said “We have trained our systems to get better at detecting these sorts of false premises," and also said that they at Google have reduced the triggering of their AI in these cases by 40% with this update.
