Famous Pakistani anchor Iqrar Ul Hassan, known for his investigative journalism recently investigated the Air Conditioner explosions which are being reported in Pakistan.
Two incidents of AC blasts occurred in Faisalabad, two occurred in DI Khan, one in Karachi, and one in Rawalpindi.
Many people have lost lives in these air conditioner blasts. These blasts occur after the accumulation of gas in the rooms, even a small electricity spark can erupt the fire if the gas from AC accumulates in the room.
Iqrar Ul Hassan took to his Instagram handle and posted an awareness video regarding these AC explosions.
Here is what he said, “Things are getting scary as incidents of AC blasts are increasing day by day in Pakistan. We were already investigating two cases of air conditioner explosions when two more blasts were reported, resulting in the deaths of a lady and a popular businessman after they were severely burned.
"The police have now officially confirmed that these blasts are happening because of the air conditioners being used in homes or offices.
"Previously, in Faisalabad, two AC explosions occurred, causing the deaths of 14 people. Now, two more incidents have come to light.
"These incidents are very dangerous because we all use ACs at home, and sometimes we visit areas where air conditioners are installed. We are investigating this matter and will soon share the causes of these AC blasts", he said.

Social media users are of the view that these blasts are happening because of the substandard Gas R32 which is being used in many air conditioning appliances, especially inverters. A social media user wrote that two incidents also occurred in Dera Ismail Khan which haven’t been reported yet.
