Residents of Islamabad have regional passport center as Independence Day gift

A new regional passport center in Islamabad has been inaugurated and made operational ahead of the country’s Independence Day on August 14, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.

 This initiative is being hailed as a valuable gift to the citizens of Islamabad.

According to DG Passports, Mustafa Jamal Qazi, the new passport center has been established following the directives of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who insisted that it be operational before August 14.

He continued that the center is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a digitalized one-window operation, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for passport applications.

"The facility includes modern features such as separate counters for women and elderly citizens, ensuring a more comfortable experience for all visitors."

“Special arrangements have been made for senior citizens and women, providing them with dedicated services to ensure a comfortable experience,” he said adding that the center’s efficient processing system has also been lauded, with citizens now able to submit their passport applications in just half an hour.

He revealed that the launch of the new regional passport center has been met with enthusiasm by the residents of Islamabad, many have expressed their gratitude to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi for his efforts.

 DG Passports Mustafa Jamal Qazi emphasized that the process of upgrading passport centers nationwide is ongoing, with the aim of making passport services more accessible and efficient for all citizens.
