An accountability court in Lahore on Tuesday disposed of an application filed by former Punjab chief minister Usman Buzdar seeking interim bail in an assets beyond means case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
At the outset of the hearing, the investigation officer told the accountability court that the National Accountability Bureau did not seek Buzdar’s arrest in the assets beyond means case.
Hearing this, the court disposed of the interim bail plea filed by the former chief minister.
Earlier on December 9, the NAB has shut an inquiry against Buzdar in a case involving issuance of a liquor licence. During the case hearing, the NAB prosecutor had apprised the Lahore High Court that the anti-graft watchdog’s regional board had sent its recommendation to the body’s chairman to end the inquiry against the former chief minister.
