Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman and former Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto on Tuesday asserted that the people have declared ZA Bhutto innocent, and it is now the judiciary's responsibility to officially exonerate the iconic leader and bring the perpetrators to justice.
Addressing a party convention in Gujranwala, he emphasized that the time is ripe for the judiciary to rectify historical wrongs related to Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s case.
“The public has declared Bhutto's innocence while voting his daughter Benazir Bhutto as their Prime Minister,” he hinted.
Calling for judicial acknowledgment, Bilawal expressed that the Supreme Court has an opportunity to deliver justice in the Bhutto case.
He urged the court to make decisions against those involved in the conspiracy, ensuring a legal and historical record that reinstates faith in justice for the people.
Bilawal also lauded the courage exhibited by the PPP's leadership in the face of challenges, citing references related to Asif Ali Zardari and the bold stance taken by Justice Qazi Faez Isa.
He affirmed that once justice is served to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and the people, the party will unite to fulfill Bhutto's mission of providing food, clothing, and shelter to the nation.
The PPP chairman claimed the PPP's manifesto not only addresses political concerns but also provides a solution to the country's economic challenges.
