All Punjab hospitals, labs ordered to report HIV cases

The Punjab health department on Monday directed all government and private hospitals to ensure operations of their laboratories round the clock and report HIV cases immediately, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A notification issued in this regard stated that these laboratories will have to submit reports about HIV case within 24 hours.
These laboratories will provide complete details of confirmed or suspicious cases separately.
HIV patients will be admitted in HIV Aids Treatment Centers established in teaching and district hospitals.
The identity of the patients will be kept secret, while all those laboratories who will violate government directions will face heavy penalties and will seal.
