PM Shehbaz briefed on Online One Window Pakistan Business Portal system

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while presiding over a review meeting to improve business and investment environment in the country, ordered the concerned departments to make legislation about ease of doing business, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

During the meeting, the PM was briefed that Online One Window Pakistan Business Portal system will be introduced through which the services of all relevant institutions will be available at one place. PM Shehbaz was told that a strategy was being prepared for the establishment of the Islamabad Business Facilitation Center.

Prime Minister addressing the participants of the meeting which was held at PM House Islamabad, said the promotion of a business and investor-friendly environment in Pakistan was top priority of the government.

The PM ordered that documentary procedures should be simplified for business and the business community under one window operations.

PM Shehbaz ordered that assistance should be obtained from Chinese experts regarding the establishment of a pilot project on the style of a one-stop shop in the city of Shenzhen, China. The PM ordered electronic registration for business registration, licenses certificates and other documents.

Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb, Federal Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain, Minister of State for Finance and Revenue Ali Pervez Malik, Prime Minister's Coordinator Rana Ehsan Afzal, Chief Secretaries of four provinces and Concerned senior government officials attended the meeting.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Thursday instructed federal secretaries and heads of departments to personally utilize the Task Management System.

He issued these instructions while chairing a meeting to assess the implementation progress of directives requiring federal ministries and departments to use the Task Management System.

The Task Management System is a modern software of international standards used to monitor instructions issued by the prime minister to federal ministries, and progress in this regard.

The prime minister also decided to conduct daily review for implementing  the task management system. He said that continuous monitoring of progress in all projects was the initial step towards their timely completion.

During the briefing, it was told that a mobile application for the task management system had already been developed.

The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Economic Affairs, Ahad Khan Cheema, Federal Minister for Petroleum Dr. Musaddik Masood Malik, Minister of State for IT, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Prime Minister’s Coordinator Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, and senior officials from relevant institutions.
