ANF foils bid to smuggle drugs to Saudi Arabia

The Anti Narcotics Force has foiled a bid to smuggle drugs to Saudi Arabia at Islamabad International Airport, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

According to details, the ANF arrested two passengers of a Jeddah-bound flight who had consumed capsules containing the drugs.

The ANF arrested Naqeeb Akhtar and Muneer who have swallowed a large number of drugs capsules in a bid to smuggle the drugs to Saudi Arabia.

Both the accused have been shifted to the hospital to retrieve the capsules from their stomach. The ANF has also started legal proceedings against both the accused.

It may be mentioned that Saudi Arabia has set a death penalty for the drug smugglers and a number of Pakistanis had been beheaded in the past for trying to smuggle the drugs into the Kingdom.
