Crops spread over hundreds of acres of land were flooded Friday after Sutlej River overflowed due to constant rise in water level, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Farmers had to suffer a huge financial loss due to damage to the standing crops by flooding.
On the other hand, the inflow of water in Chenab River is also increasing gradually.
The inflow of water at Head Panjand is 29,000 cusecs while the outflow is 15,000 cusecs.
The inflow of water is expected to reach 300,000 cusecs in the coming days.
The administration is ready to deal with any possible flood situation in Chenab and Sindh rivers, officials said.
“So far, the situation is normal. The Muzaffargarh deputy commissioner has himself been monitoring the flood situation,” they added.
