PPP Central Executive Committee opposes construction of canals over River Indus

A meeting of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was held on Friday. 

According to 24NewsHD, the participants in the meeting raised the issue of construction of six canals over the River Indus. They opposed the construction of these canals and described this decision as an attempt to fuel unrest in Sindh.

They said the government is not allaying their concerns about construction of these canals. They called upon the party leadership to take up this issue with the federal government at the highest level.
