KP directs private hospitals, clinics to display virus patients' bills on websites

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government on Sunday leading a step towards the transparency directed all the private hospitals and clinics in the province to display the coronavirus patient’s costs on their websites.
24NewsHD TV channel reported that the KP government has asked the privately-owned hospitals and clinics to display their cost on the coronavirus patients.
Provincial Healthcare Commission (PHC) has issued orders to all private hospitals to publish the cost of treatment of corona patients on the official website. The government has declared the epidemic as an emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to COVID-19.pk portal, there are 17,450 confirmed coronavirus patients in KP and so far 4,291 have successfully recovered from the COVID-19. There are 661 deaths reported due to the COVID-19 in KP.
Earlier, Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar started connecting coronavirus patients and their families with help of technology video calling facility.
Counselling rooms have been established for the relatives of corona patients at LRH.
“The separation of patients and family members is extremely difficult and painful. Our medical staff is doing everything they can to ensure family members communicate with patients regularly, in addition to providing them with the support they deserve,” KP Health Department said that.
