TV reporter axed to death in Sargodha

A private news channel reporter was axed to death at Pull 111, a suburban town of Sargodha, over ‘old enmity’ on Monday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Police said that Fazal Jan was sleeping on the roof of his house when some men entered his house and killed him after repeatedly attacking him with an axe.
The assailants later fled from the spot, it informed.
Soon after learning about the incident, a heavy contingent of police reached the crime scene and started collecting the evidence.
Journalists’ associations, on the other hand, have demanded the police to immediately arrest the killers.
Two ‘dacoits’ killed in TTS encounter
On the other hand, police claimed to have shot dead two dacoits in an encounter in a village near Toba Tek Singh.
Police said Usman and Shehzad Yousuf, who had become a symbol of terror not only in Toba but also in the neighbouring districts of Jhang, Chiniot and Faisalabad, were wanted in different cases of dacoity, highway robbery and attempted murder.
The bodies were later shifted to the DHQ hospital.
