The government seems to have come under extreme pressure because of the looming no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
However, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser on Monday tried to play it cool saying things were not as bad as were being portrayed by the media, reported 24 News HD TV channel.
Addressing a function, NA Speaker Qaiser dispelled the impression that things were going awry for the government. The visibly unfazed speaker advised the nation to hold their nerves and try to watch less TV. People will have less tension if they stop watching Television, he said adding that ‘things are not as bad as are being presented by the media.
The opposition has submitted no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan to the assembly secretariat but they are mulling to bring no-trust motions against Assembly Speaker Qaiser and Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri believing that both the assembly custodians would not remain impartial during the tabling of no-trust move against the premier.
