Harassment of female officer: Court terminates Pakistani diplomat in Italy

In the case of harassment of a female officer, the Federal Ombudsman Saturday ordered to terminate Nadeem Riaz, a Pakistani diplomate in Italy on Saturday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Nadeem Riaz who is Head of Mission at the Pakistani Embassy in Rome, Italy, was involved in the harassment of a government officer Saira Imdad.
The report said that Saira Imdad is a Grade-20 officer in the Ministry of Commerce and she has filed a petition against the Pakistani diplomate in the ombudsman’s court.
The federal ombudsman issued the order of dismissing the diplomate from service after hearing the complaint of the victim officer of the government of Pakistan.
The federal ombudsman also fined the culprit Rs5 million and directed the Foreign Ministry to immediate implementation of the orders within the next seven days.
