PML-N Quaid and former three-time prime minister Nawaz Sharif has arrived to a warm welcome by his party leaders and workers at the Quetta Airport on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Those who welcomed Nawaz Sharif were included PML-N Balochistan President Jaffer Khan Mandokhel, Nawab Jangez Marri and other senior leaders.

 

Nawaz Sharif is in Quetta to seek political alliances in Balochistan.

Former prime minister and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif will also accompany his elder brother.

The PML-N leaders will hold meetings with different political personalities and leaders of various pollical parties including Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), PkMAP, and Balochistan National Party during their two-day visit to the provincial capital.

Some of the important Balochistan political personalities including several former parliamentarians of BAP and other electables are expected to join the PML-N during Nawaz Sharif’s visit.

Former Balochistan chief minister Jam Kamal along with his group will also meet the PML-N leader and announce joining the party.

The PML-N supremo will reach a hotel from Quetta airport at 2pm today.

He will return to Lahore tomorrow after holding meetings with party workers on Wednesday morning.

Shehbaz Sharif shared a post on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) saying that “We are going to Quetta today along with Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif to continue the development journey of Balochistan. This visit of Nawaz Sharif just a few days after returning home is actually a reflection of our determination for the prosperity of Balochistan. The development of Pakistan is linked to the development of Balochistan, which Mian Nawaz Sharif prioritized in each of his terms.”

On November 7, an MQM delegation comprising Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Farooq Sattar and Mustafa Kamal met Nawaz Sharif and his brother Shehbaz at the PML-N Central Secretariat in Lahore.

In a joint statement issued after the meeting, the parties said they had agreed to adopt a joint strategy to put an end to the public’s woes and redirect the country towards the path of development.

The parties also decided to constitute a six-member committee to prepare a comprehensive charter, which they said would address the problems in Sindh and its urban areas. “It will present the final proposals for cooperation between the two parties to the leadership within 10 days,” the joint statement added.

On Monday, Nawaz Sharif held a telephonic contact with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and exchanged views on the prevailing political situation.

According to JUI spokesperson, Mian Nawaz Sharif conveyed his desire for an early one-on-one meeting, emphasizing the importance of holding direct dialogue to address the pressing issues facing the nation.
