A speeding land cruiser belonging to PPP’s ex-MPA from Umarkot, Sindh Syed Ameer Ali Shah on Wednesday crushed to death a pedestrian and a bike rider, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Sources told 24News that the former MPA was sitting inside the car at the time of accident that took place at Barani Stop in tehsil Kunri.

However, he remained safe in the accident.

Sources further said that Member District Council Mazhar Akbar Dars, a close associate of the ex-MPA, was driving the car when the accident took place.

The deceased bike rider was identified as Walji Kolhi while the man sitting behind him Asan Kolhi was seriously injured.

Soon afterwards, police reached site of the incident and shifted the dead as well as the injured to Tehsil Hospital Kunri.

Relatives of the deceased, however, refused to get post-mortem done of the body.   

Police, on the other hand, are reluctant to comment on the incident.
