Punjab Cultural Day to be celebrated on March 14

The provincial caretaker government has decided to celebrate Punjab Cultural Day on March 14 in a grand manner.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, this was decided in a meeting held at Al Hamra Arts Council under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister of Information and Culture Amir Mir.
In the meeting, Lahore Arts Council Executive Director Zulfikar Ali Zulfi gave a briefing regarding Punjab Cultural Day to the participants.
Addressing the meeting, the caretaker minister said several events will be organized on Punjab Culture Day to highlight the culture of Punjab as the Lahore Arts Council will organize dhol performances, camel dance, horse dance, Heer singing and other events. 
He said a craft market and food stalls will also be set up to highlight the culture of Punjab as well as   Bhangra performances, folk music and other programs will be organized in indoor activities. Mir said Punjab is the center of culture and tradition and it is important to organize cultural activities to promote the culture of the province. He also said that the Department of Information and Culture will play a full role in decorating the culture of Punjab with the pleasant colours of Spring.
