Journalist shot dead in Nowshera by Unknown assailants

A journalist was gunned down after being targeted by unidentified assailants in Nowshera's Akbar Pura area on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

 The journalist identified as Malik Hassan Zeb, a sub-editor of Daily Aaj was targeted by unknown motorcycle riders in the bustling Akbar Pura bazaar.

 Following the attack, the assailants managed to escape while Hassan succumbed to bullet wounds at the spot.  

The journalist's body was swiftly transported to the hospital for autopsy.  

The official said the motive behind the shooting was not immediately known.

The Nowshera police have initiated an investigation to identify and apprehend the attackers.
