All schools, colleges shut down in Azad Kashmir’s Mirpur

The Azad Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to shut down all educational institutions in Mirpur Division due to the intense heatwave, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Secretary AJK Elementary and Secondary Education directed the concerned authorities to close down all the institutions keeping in view the heatwave in the region.
The secretary further advised the heads of the educational institutions to keep their schools and colleges shut in consultation with the district education officers and district administration keeping in view the precautions related to the heatwave.
The Elementary and Second Education Secretariat of the AJK government has issued a notification in this regard.
