Random testing for coronavirus in Lahore to begin next week: CM

10,000 tests to be conducted next week

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said on Thursday the provincial government would start random testing in Lahore in the next phase and do 10,000 random tests in the next week to have an estimate of real number of coronavirus patients in the provincial capital.

In a Twitter message here, he said now the provincial government has the capacity to carry out 4,200 coronavirus tests per day. He said that random testing would help the government have an idea about the scale of infection in the country.
