Dealers’ margin on petrol, diesel prices also raised

The increase in the petroleum products’ (POL) prices announced by the government yesterday (Monday, August 15, 2022) also included increase in the dealers’ margin on them, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Following 69.49 per cent increase in dealer’s margin on diesel, the margin went up from Rs4.13 per liter to Rs7 per liter, thus depriving the people of relief of Rs2.87 per liter.
Had hike in the margin not been announced, diesel price could have come down by Rs3.38 per liter.
