Two brick-kiln workers choked to death

Two brick-kiln workers, said to be brothers, were choked to death while shoveling coal in a furnace at a kiln Sunday evening.
According to police, the incident occurred at a brick-kiln situated on Shaheedanwali Road in the outskirts of Mandi Bahauddin city. Both the brothers were putting coal into furnace for baking bricks but fell unconscious due to lack of Oxygen, rescuers informed and added that they were taken out of the furnace but had breathed their last.
The Rescue 1122 shifted the dead bodies to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
TWO BIKERS CRUSHED TO DEATH
Meanwhile, two motorcyclists were crushed to death by a speeding truck near Rasool College in Mandi Bahauddin. According to police, 18-year-old Hassan Ali and 17-year-old Saqlain, both students of Class-X, were residents of suburban village Kot Nawab Shah.
They had gone to Rasool Barrage for a picnic but met the accident on the way back when a speeding truck knocked down the bike, crushing both the friends on the spot.
The police have handed over the dead bodies to the families and registered a case against the runaway truck driver.
