Farewell ceremony held at KEMU to honor faculty members

King Edward Medical University (KEMU) Vice Chancellor Prof Mahmood Ayyaz has stressed the need to keep the glorious traditions of the university to honor, acknowledge and praise the outgoing faculty members, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
He was addressing a farewell ceremony held in honor of retiring Prof. Zahid Kamal Siddiqui, Prof. Aisha Malik, and Prof. Safdar Khan at KEMU here on Thursday.
In his opening remarks, he said that the purpose of today's ceremony was to acknowledge the services of retired professors and appreciate their excellent services.
Prof Dr Ayyaz advised the junior faculty to always recognize and respect the senior faculty who have reached the peak of their profession.
On this occasion, Ex-Vice Chancellor King Edward and FJMU Prof. Aamir Zaman Khan, Prof. Asad Aslam Khan, Fatima Jinnah Medical University Vice Chancellor Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ijaz Hussain, Pro-Vice Chancellor FJMU Prof. Kamran Khalid Khawaja, Prof. Haroon Hamid, Prof. Waris Farooqa, Prof. Abrar Ashraf Ali, Registrar Dr. Riasat Ali, MS Mayo Hospital Dr. Munir Ahmed Malik and a large number of faculty were present.
All these people rendered valuable services in their respective departments, as Prof. Zahid Kamal Siddiqui in Ophthalmology, Prof. Ayesha Malik in Gynecology, and Prof. Safdar Khan in the Urology Department and in other projects of the University.
Prof. Aamir Zaman Khan said Prof. Zahid Kamal preferred to leave the post of Principal at Sahiwal Medical College to serve in his alma mater.
Prof. Asad Aslam Khan and Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal expressed their views. They said that Safdar Khan always worked with a team spirit.
Prof. Aisha Malik was establishing new specialties at Lady Willingdon including Fetal Medicine, they added.
Prof. Zahid Kamal Siddiqui, Prof. Ayesha Malik, and Prof. Safdar Khan expressed their views and said that we are grateful to the Vice Chancellor Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz, and the faculty of King Edward Medical University who organized the wonderful event in their honor.
