Services chiefs call on PM Shehbaz ahead of NSC meeting

Army Chief General Asim Munir called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at PM House on Tuesday ahead of the National Security Committee (NSC) meeting, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Both the prime minister and the army chief discussed the security situation of the country.
The chief of air staff and the chief of naval staff also called on the prime minister.
Matters of national security were discussed during the meeting.
The all-important meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) will be held at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir along with other service chiefs and the heads of intelligence agencies will attend the meeting.
Senior civilian and military officials will brief the committee on national security issues, the official sources have said.
The meeting will review the law and order situation and internal and external threats to the country, they have added.
The meeting will also review the events on May 9 and beyond, they have stated.
