Balochistan Minister for Local Governments Sardar Mir Chakkar Khan Domki passed away in Karachi on Monday after a prolonged illness.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Sardar Sarfaraz Domki had been unwell for some time and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Karachi. The late Sardar Sarfaraz Domki will be laid to rest in Sibi.
He was a member of the Balochistan Assembly, elected from provincial constituency PB-8 (Lehri) from Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) in the February 2024 general elections.
He was born on 12 August 1969 in Lehri District. He has a degree in Bachelor of Arts. He served as assistant commissioner and additional deputy commissioner in the Government of Balochistan between 1988 and 2010.
He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan as a candidate of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) from Constituency PB-21 Sibi in the 2013 general election.
He was re-elected to the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan as a candidate of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) from Constituency PB-7 (Sibbi-cum-Lehri) in the 2018 Pakistani general election.
President condoles Domki’s death
President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday expressed grief over the death of Balochistan Provincial Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Mir Sarfaraz Chakar Domki.
The president lauded the political services of the late Mir Sarfaraz Domki and expressed his sympathies for the bereaved family. He also prayed to Allah Almighty for peace for the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family to bear the loss.
PM grieved over Domki’s death
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday expressed his deep grief over the death of Balochistan Provincial Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Sardar Sarfaraz Chakar Domki. “By the death of Sardar Sarfaraz Domki, Balochistan’s politics has become bereft of an intellectual and a seasoned politician. We share the grief of his family,” the prime minister remarked.
He prayed to Allah Almighty for peace for the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family to bear the loss.
PPP chief condoles death
Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Monday expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Balochistan Provincial Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Mir Sarfraz Chakar Domki.
In a condolence message issued here by the party secretariat, Bilawal Bhutto said that the service of Mir Sarfraz for the people of Balochistan will always be remembered.
The PPP chief expressed his sympathies for the bereaved family and also prayed to Allah Almighty for peace for the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family to bear the loss.
Balochistan CM expresses sorrow
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Monday expressed deep sorrow over the death of Provincial Local Government (LG) Minister Sardar Sarfraz Chakar Khan Domki.
He said in his statement that Sardar Sarfraz Chakar Khan Domki was a reliable politician and tribal figure.
The CM said that the deceased always played a positive role in the political and tribal system of Balochistan saying that his services would be remembered in the province.
“Sardar Sarfraz Chakar Khan Domki was an active member of the present Balochistan Cabinet”, he said adding that the death of Sardar Sarfaraz Chakar Khan Domki was deeply shocked.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti also prayed Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal abode with peace and granting courage to bereaved family members.
