Halal Certification Mark Scheme officially launched

Pakistan Halal Authority has officially launched Halal Certification Mark Scheme, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
While chairing sixth board of governors meeting of Pakistan Halal Authority, Federal Minister Khalid Hussain Magsi said Halal Mark fee has been reduced to zero on exports and 50 percent on local food items.
Khalid Hussain Magsi said agreements with Belarus, Malaysia, Turkey, Indonesia and UAE has been approved.
The federal Minister said that agreements will be helpful in mutual approval and facilitation.
Khalid Hussain Magsi said decision has been made to make Pakistan Halal Authority a self-sufficient institution.
He said that registration procedure for slaughterhouses and food services has been approved.
Khalid Hussain Magsi further said that new scheme will enable access of Pakistani halal products to global markets.
