Over 1700,000 driving licenses issued in two weeks

Following the initiative of IGP Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the Punjab police successfully issued driving licenses to more than 1700,000 citizens during the past two weeks , reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a statement, more than 112,000 driving licenses have been in a single day (Saturday) until three in the afternoon citizens across the province.
This includes various types of licenses such as learning, national, international, and renewals.
The spokesperson for the Punjab Police highlighted that this comprehensive initiative is part of the traffic police's commitment to facilitating citizens and ensuring the smooth functioning of the traffic management system.
Dr. Usman Anwar, while directing the program, emphasized the multifaceted benefits of the newly introduced online system.
Through this innovative approach, residents can conveniently obtain their learning licenses using their mobile phones from the comfort of their homes, all for a minimal fee of just 60 rupees.
Beyond the online platform, all service centers, police stations, patrolling units, and traffic training centers across Punjab are equipped to facilitate the issuance of driving licenses, the spokesperson added.
