Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said on Friday that jailed former prime minister Imran Khan plundered Rs180 billion of the Pakistani nation.
Expressing his views on Khan’s conviction in the £190 million Al-Qadir Trust case, Tarar said this was the first time that people heard about a five karat diamond ring from the former first lady Bushra Bibi. Before this, he said, nobody had heard that there was a five karat diamond ring. He said that Bushra Bibi looted money from the national exchequer in connivance with Farah Gogi.
Tarar said that Khan invested the plundered money in a house in Lahore. He said that Khan took this money from Malik Riaz. He said that nobody in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) could tell Khan’s source of income. He said the court has declared Khan’s accomplices in the £190 million Al-Qadir Trust case absconders.
