Big decline in prices of solar panels in Pakistan

Good news for electricity consumers as prices of solar panels witnessed a historic drop in Pakistan, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
A 585-watt solar panel is now available for Rs 17,100/- instead of Rs 20,500/-.
A 180-watt solar panel is being purchased for Rs 5500/- after a decrease of Rs 6000/-.
A shopkeeper said that due to skyrocketing prices of electricity and its severe load-shedding, consumers prefer to purchase solar systems.
He further said that as the demand for solar systems increases day by day, its prices will further reduce in the future.
He said that solar systems must be available at low prices to enable the poor people to buy them.
