Punjab govt’s lockdown orders defied as markets remain open in Multan

Despite the Punjab government's notification enforcing a complete lockdown to curb rising smog, most markets in Multan remained open, reported 24NewsHD TV on Sunday.
The notification mandated the closure of all markets on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with daily operating hours restricted to 4 PM.
As per the notification, restaurants were also instructed to close by 4 PM, allowing takeaway services until 8 PM.
The open markets reflect the inefficiency of the district administration in enforcing the orders. Authorities have yet to take action against violations.
