900kg meat of dead chicken seized in Okara

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Tuesday confiscated and destroyed 900kg meat of dead chicken in Okara, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

In a major operation against chicken suppliers, the Okara Food Safety Team seized a huge supply of dead chicken meat in Basirpur and Deepalpur. 

According to the PFA sources, the dead meat was being supplied to hotels and culinary centers in Okara city and suburbs.

The accused was arrested by the police on the spot and an FIR was also registered against him for serious violation of PFA regulations.
