Punjab's Auqaf dept reconstitutes provincial Quran Board

Punjab Auqaf and Religious Affairs department on Tuesday issued notification for reconstitution of Punjab Quran Board, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Sahibzada Hamid Raza has been appointed the board’s chairman for three years.

The members of the Quran Board are Khawaja Muhammad Qamaruddin, Muhammad Karim Shah, Prof. Syeda Akhter Kulsoom, Maulana Tahir Aqeel Awan, Qari Ahmad Mian Thanvi, Hafiz Fazlur Raheem, Prof. Mohsina Munir and Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Rashid among others.

Punjab Auqaf Department sent the names of the 27-member committee to Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, which was approved and now the department has reconstituted the Punjab Quran Board as per approval.
