20,000 applications received over outsourcing 4,445 Punjab govt schools

Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) will out-source around 4,445 government schools in the province during second phase of the programme, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, PEW received more than 20,000 applications but the scrutiny process of these applications was still incomplete. Around 9,000 applications were submitted individually.
PEW sources said that due to excess applications scrutiny process still underway and every application being scrutinized purely on merit.
Sources disclosed that scrutiny process of these applications will be completed in two to three weeks.
They were optimistic that scrutiny process will be concluded in first or second week of February 2025.
They said that prior to start of new academic year all the relevant colleges and schools will be handed to NGOs and individuals who will fulfill required experience and merit criteria.
