PM Shehbaz includes Jahangir Tareen in newly-formed Economic Advisory Council

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced the formation of Economic Advisory Council (EAC) and also included former IPP chairman Jahangir Tareen, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Finance Division issued an official notification in this regard on Saturday which contained details about the establishment and composition of the Council.
According to the notification, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will chair the Economic Advisory Council, which is designed to provide economic advice to the Government of Pakistan, particularly the chief executive.
The Council includes notable figures such as Jahangir Tareen, Saqib Shirazi, and Shahzad Saleem. In addition to these members, the notification lists several other prominent individuals who will contribute their expertise to the Council including Musadik Zulqarnain, Dr Ijaz Nabi, Asif Peer, Ziad Bashir and Salman Ahmed.
The Economic Advisory Council is a non-constitutional and independent body, established to offer strategic economic insights and recommendations to the government.
It may be mentioned here that Jahangir Tareen had quit politics after his defeat in February 8 general elections.
