Islamabad police to activate Verify Lane in Red Zone

Daily commuters in Islamabad’s Red Zone will no longer have to stand in long queues as the federal police will activate "Verify Lane" for the zone, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

In this regard, the Security Division has sent recommendations to the higher authorities.

According to the recommendations, civilian vehicles will also be able to pass through the verify lane as civilian vehicles will be issued a separate sticker.

However, vehicles and drivers will have to get their registration done with the police for the verify lane. 

A special sticker will be issued to the vehicles after the police verification and vehicles with a special sticker will be able to enter the Red Zone from the verify lane without checking.

However, IG Islamabad will take the final decision on the recommendations of the Security Division.
