Pakistan’s exports to Afghanistan surge by 51% in four months

Pakistan’s exports to Afghanistan have surged by 51 percent in the first four months of the current fiscal year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
According to sources, Pakistan’s exports to Afghanistan increased by 33 percent year-on-year basis in October 2024.
Moreover, sugar exports to Afghanistan increased by 1,447 percent from July to October 2024, the sources said.
The sources further said that Pakistan's exports to Afghanistan for July-October 2024 were $450 million while exports to Afghanistan during the same period last year were $298.6 million.
The volume of Pakistani exports to Afghanistan in October 2024 was $130 million while in October 2023, the volume of exports to Afghanistan was $97 million.
From July to October 2024, sugar exports to Afghanistan were $91.7 million while during the same period last year, sugar exports to Afghanistan were $5.9 million, sources concluded.
