New security plan chalked out for Chinese protection, Iran president's visit

For the protection of Chinese nationals, security during the visit of Iran's President and a result-oriented operation to eliminate dacoits in the Kacha area, a new security plan has been chalked out in a high-level meeting chaired by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Friday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Interior Minister chaired the meeting of the Review Committee of Implementation on the National Action Plan (NAP) at the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) headquarters.
Federal Secretary Interior, Head of NECTA, FIA Director General, Inspector Generals from Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and Islamabad, Interior Secretaries and National Coordinator of NECTA participated in the meeting and briefed about the security situation.
The meeting discussed security measures for Chinese citizens in detail and decided to restrict the movement of those who do not adhere to the SOPs formulated during the meeting.
Mohsin Naqvi reiterated the importance of 100 per cent compliance with the SOPs by all security agencies and warned against any negligence.
In the meeting, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed all security agencies including the police to strictly implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the protection of Chinese nationals in Pakistan.
The interior minister emphasized that any negligence in ensuring the safety of Chinese citizens will not be tolerated. He further stated that strict disciplinary action will be taken against those failing to comply with the SOPs.
Naqvi highlighted the importance of equipping security agencies with modern technology to combat terrorism and assured that the federal government would extend full support to provinces in this endeavor.
Adopting new secuirty strategy, the Interior Minister also announced a joint operation to eliminate miscreant elements from the Kacha area, utilizing modern technology such as drones for surveillance.
During the meeting, security arrangements for the upcoming visit of the Iranian President were reviewed.
Addressing the meeting, the Interior Minister said we have to equip our departments with modern technology to eradicate terrorism and the Federation will provide all possible support to the provinces in this regard.
Mohsin Naqvi said miscreant elements will be permanently eliminated from the Kacha area through a joint operation. He said modern technology including drones will be used for joint operations in the Kacha area.
Expressing satisfaction over the anti-smuggling operations, the Interior Minister said all departments must ensure strict legal action against smugglers.


Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned suicide attack in Landhi area of Karachi


Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has strongly condemned the suicide attack in the Landhi area of Karachi on the van of the foriegners. Paying a salute to the security personnel who foiled the nefarious intentions of the enemy, he said that the police foiled the attack by showing bravery.
He congratulated the officials responsible for the protection of foreigners and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Mohsin Naqvi said that all the security agencies including the police are determined in the war against terrorism. He warned that the elements that damage the peace and reputation of the country will be dealt with with iron hands.
