The Election Tribunal has at last declared the victory of Gilgit-Baltistan Minister Fateh Ullah null and void and declared Pakistan Peoples Party’s candidate Jamil Ahmad successful from the constituency No.2 of Gilgit, nearly three years after the provincial elections, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
After the elections of Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly in November 2020, PPP’s candidate Jamil Ahmad had challenged the victory of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Fateh Ullah in the election tribunal.
However, the Election Tribunal announced decision in the favor of the PPP’s candidate after two and a half years.
